WatchList tabs give you the ability to create up to 10 different custom views of the current WatchList. In the example below we have WatchList tab #2 selected and the fields attached to the tab are displayed in the list. You can resize the width of the columns by clicking on the vertical line between the columns and dragging left or right. In this example, we are looking at the "S&P 500 Component Stocks" WatchList sorted by "Note Dates" in Descending order (xyz). The Sort Value is displayed in the Sort Value column, which is printed in BOLD to indicate that this is the criterion the list is sorted by. The additional fields attached to the tab are "Price Percent Change 5-Day" and "P/E Ratio’’.
The names of the columns have been abbreviated for space considerations, but you can place your mouse pointer over the column heading and a tool tip will appear with the full name of the column as in the example below.
You can sort by any of the fields attached to the tab simply by clicking on the column heading. If you click on the "Price Percent Change 5-Day" column heading, the Sort Value field is grayed out so that the sort criterion is not displayed twice. If you select sort criterion that is not attached to the tab, these values will appear in the Sort Value column as in the example above where the list was sorted by "Note Dates".
If you click the "Price Percent Change 5-Day" column heading again and then press the Home key to go to the top of the list, you now have the column sorted in Ascending order (abc.)
Adding additional columns and removing existing ones is easy. For this example, we’ll insert a column showing "Volume Surge Today" to the right of the "Sort Value" column. We just right click on the "Company Name" column, which displays the menu for adding, editing and removing columns.
We just click on Insert New Column to Right which brings up the Column Display editor. From here you can set the properties of the column: criterion to be displayed, font attributes, text color and background color.
We need to set our Column Contents to "Volume Surge Today" then click the OK button. We now have a new column showing which stocks in the S&P 500 are surging in volume today.
